FAMU Pentaplex Demo & Amphitheater

Details

This massive project occurred in five phases over the span of two years. The two phases consisted of demolishing the residence halls, removing concrete sidewalks, and light fixtures. All of this was in preparation for a new student performing amphitheater and parking area. The third phase was to prepare the site, and included a storm drain, grading, temporary tree & plant protection, cast-in-place concrete, asphalt paving, and landscaping. The last two phases of converting the Pentaplex Residence Hall area to a performing amphitheater included a platform stage, steps, and a ramp with a canopy, foundation, multiple seating tiers, curb walls, and grassing. Scope of work included extensive earthwork, concrete & masonry, structural and miscellaneous metals, electrical & lighting, communications, data raceways & equipment, and other site improvements.
